You Have The Power To Make Money Instantly

Sometimes things can get tough financially. We all wish we could have extra money in our pocket, to do the things we want to do. To not have do say to ourselves, if I buy this or that, will that make me short (not have enough money) paying a bill? If I buy this now, will I have enough money to pay the rent next month? Well, believe it or not, I have a way you can make money right now. It is very easy to do, and you can see results almost instantly.

The method I am going to explain was done in my household every day. And it paid off. My family had extra money whenever they needed it. To this day, I have extra money whenever I need it by following this practice.

Everyone has their indulgences, the things they like, the things they splurge on. For me it is glazed donuts that is my weakness, or cheesecake, or some fall off the bone ribs, oh boy, now we're talking. What are your weaknesses? Specialty coffee on the way to work, dinner out a few times a week? Fill in the blank. What if you gave up that "treat" once a week, how much money do you think you would save?  Okay, let's take one specialty coffee  at $3.65 bought everyday, times 5 days (Monday – Friday) equals $18.25 week. There are 4 weeks in a month usually, which would be $73.00 a month. If you stopped buying your specialty coffee treat for one month that is an extra $73 you would have to put towards a bill. Assuming you have to drive to a restaurant or store to get the coffee, you also have to add the price of gas. Now  that could add up at the end of the month to be more than $73.00.

Just think  about it for a minute. Is there anything that you spend money on, that if you stopped doing it, your life would not be affected drastically, if at all? For example, there are some things we just have to have like food, to eat but do we need new clothes every day, month or year, or do we "want" new clothes every day, month or year? Clothes can be mended. Do you need to hang out with your friends after work once a week, or do you want to. I have heard people say, 'I have to go on this vacation'. No. What  the person really means is, 'I want to go on this vacation'. There is a difference between "need" and "have to/want". A need is something you cannot do without, like food or water, to live. A want (or 'have to") is something that you enjoy having (or doing), but can survive without it. I mean your heart will not stop beating today or even tomorrow if you don't have what you want. Now think about it… start with one thing that you do everyday, which you could stop, and save that extra money you are spending. Use this calculator to see your savings after 1 day, 5 days or even a year (365 days). See. That is your instant savings. You have the power to find extra money, the secret is are you willing to sacrifice, change your behavior. I know change is hard, but ask yourself, how badly do you want extra money? If your answer is, you want the extra money then you will find the strength to stop the "want" spending. Think about it like this, if what you want to do is going to put you into a financial hardship in a few days, then don't do it. Don't just think for the moment. Think about the big picture, down the road. What will be the consequences of you buying something you "want" now? Will you be short to pay your upcoming bill, or rent, or car insurance? If the answer is yes, then don't do it.  Even if you have to talk to yourself, or chant, or say no to your friends, your decision not to do the "want/impulse" buying will save you money in the long run. And that is the goal. So what I want you to do right now is bite the bullet and write down the things you can do without every day, and what each costs, use this calculator to see how much money you can save.

Now I am not saying don't splurge every now and then, because we all need to be good to ourselves and go to our happy place, whatever that is...it may be treating yourself to some ice cream, or going to see a movie.  Just do it in moderation. Find the balance between sacrificing doing it everyday, and doing it once in a while, so you don't feel cheated. I mean if you have the financial means to do something like go on a vacation, then by all means do that, but don't put yourself into a financial hardship if you cannot afford it. Don't promise your friend or loved one that you are going to take them somewhere until you have researched the cost and decided how it will financially impact you, after the activity/event is over.

This is another example of saving money. Like I said earlier this was practiced in my household everyday, my mother set up jars and labeled them. One was called "state fair" (I live in Michigan), there were a few others, but I remember that one. But my parents dropped their spare change into the jar, so that when it was time to go to the state fair there was enough money to pay for the entry into the fair and food for everyone. The process would start all over again the next day after the fair was over, for next year. Now Christmas, that was another story, my mother had a small amount of money taken out of her check each week and put into the "Christmas club' that her bank had, in October she drew the money out for Christmas shopping.

There are ways to save money by not splurging all the time everyday on what you want, like contacting your credit card companies and asking if they would lower your interest rate. There are also ways to make money which I talk about in other areas of this blog. You can plan something with your family and friends at your place to have a game night, play cards, or a board game, or just stream your favorite TV show and have a "what happened" quiz afterwards with drinks. It CAN be done. You CAN make extra money instantly just by changing your way of thinking, and it does not have to be forever, just so you can reach your goal. You CAN do it. You don't have to be stressed out, live stressfree.
